On Boxing Day, we traditionally make bread pudding from the leftovers of the day before. An easy recipe for the whole family to enjoy! And that is an important condition: because we don't want any fuss on day two, the recipe had to be easy . And we can tell you: it doesn't get any easier than this.
Besides being purely convenient, this recipe also prevents food waste - and that is important to us. In short: no reason to miss out on this delicious recipe.
Ingredients
- Butter for greasing the oven dish
- 300 grams of leftover Christmas bread or brioche
- 350 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- Teaspoon of cinnamon
- 100 ml whipped cream
- Seeds of a vanilla pod
- 100 grams of sugar

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
- Grease an oven dish with butter
- Cut the 300 grams of Christmas cake or brioche into slices. If there is still some ice cream left in the crust, spread it over the slices.
- Mix the milk, eggs, cinnamon, whipping cream and vanilla until combined
- Pour the mixture over the slices of bread in the oven dish
- Bake for 45 minutes to make an irresistibly delicious breakfast.
