These celebrities live by their star sign

With Instagram exploding with advice based on the phases of the Moon, constellations and the position of the planets, celebrities are no longer hiding their belief in the power of the Moon. And actually, this is not a recent phenomenon, as Lady Di, Coco Chanel and Madonna have known it for years. Beverly Hills Real Housewife Kyle Richards is also a big fan of our calendar. Time for an overview.

Adele - Taurus

In a recent interview with Vogue USA, Adele talked extensively about her typical Taurus traits. She loves planning and likes to know what to expect, which made her anxiety attacks after the divorce from her ex-husband feel especially heavy. Fun fact: the singer has a tattoo of Saturn on her wrist. It takes an average of 27 to 32 years for Saturn to revolve around the Sun and thus return to the same position as the day you were born. When that happens, it can turn your life upside down - and so it did for Adele, to say the least. It made her think: 'Who am I? What do I want? Where do I want to go' were questions she asked herself. Saturn's return to your natal position temporarily turns life upside down and, after moments of reflection, puts you on the right path. Adele agrees - the effect was stronger than she ever expected. 

Kendall Jenner - Scorpio

I am a Scorpio and therefore I cling to people more easily. If I like you, don't expect me to just disappear from your life. The reverse is also true,' she told Allure Magazine a few years ago. Jenner is therefore a Scorpio avant la lettre, because: Scorpios are profound and mysterious. Typical Kendall.

Madonna - Leo

Madonna is not averse to a little spirituality - she carries gemstones with her every day, meditates every morning and is a firm believer in astrology. As a performer, she is unmistakably a Leo - how could it be otherwise? In the nineties, Madonna was one of the first celebrities to openly declare her love for astronomy. What's more, we prefer to see her as a real Leo: waving her wild mane on stage. 

Coco Chanel - Leo

Coco Chanel was a true Leo. Constellations fascinated her so much that she constantly used her Leo nature as the thread of her creative vision. Her famous designs are often (indirectly) based on the star system. But not only that: in her French flat there were many Lion motifs and Lion statues; she made sure there was always a Lion around. 

Beyoncé - Virgin

Beyoncé is a Virgo at heart. She says she is a huge control freak, is critical of everyone and everything and has a better eye for detail than anyone else. My critical eye is something I have to work on, sometimes I go too far,' she tells Dazed in an interview. Queen B lives by the 'all or nothing' principle, sometimes to the frustration of her loved ones. It doesn't get any more Virgo than this.

Taylor Swift - Sagittarius

Taylor Swift says she is a true Sagittarius in everything she does, feels and thinks. She is more optimistic than anyone else, loves to travel and is always looking for something new to get stuck into, she said in a previous interview.

If you are still not convinced, then listen carefully to her lyrics. So I sneak out to the garden to see you - We keep quiet, 'cause we're dead if they knew So close your eyes - Escape this town for a little while'. It doesn't get more Sagittarius than this. 

Princess Diana - Cancer

Princess Diana was a pioneer in the field of astrology and constellations. She visited Penny Thornton, one of the world's most famous astrologers. With Penny she hoped to learn more about prosperity in love with Prince Charles. Unfortunately this did not work out as hoped and he sought refuge with Camilla, a fellow Cancerian. The latter is striking, because Charles himself is a Scorpio, a star sign that is believed to go well with a Cancer.

Kim Kardashian - Libra

Previously, Kim K. explained in an interview that she is a Libra and sister Kylie is a Leo. These two constellations go very well together, because a fire and earth sign complete each other. In short: the perfect match - and it turns out: everything the two of them touch turns to gold.

Nicole Richie - Virgin

Nicole Richie is living her best Virgo life. I'm a real Virgo. I'm very good at planning - I make things work. Also, I get up at 6.30am every day.' Her role in reality series The Simple Life doesn't quite seem to fit her star sign; a Virgo is, to say the least, fond of her privacy. But even that seems to be true: 'I could only participate in The Simple Life because I stepped out of my own life for thirty days. I am a Virgo and like to keep my private life as it is meant to be: private. If the cameras went home with me, I wouldn't have participated.'
