Energy This Week

After all the intensity of recent months, September appears to have become considerably calmer from an astrological perspective. Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron are still retrograde. And on September 10, Uranus also goes retrograde. Other highlights include: Lilith in Capricorn (September 14), Chiron briefly returning to Aries (September 18), the autumn equinox (September 23), and Mars in Leo (September 28).

September begins with the Sun in Virgo (emphasis on organization, decluttering, daily structure, practical choices, the body, health, and detox). The return of fall helps you appreciate the importance of rest, regularity, and cleanliness. In preparation for fall.

This week is quiet—a time to recover. A lot may have come to the surface, and you may still be very tired. The recent eclipse window was unusually intense.

Next week, there will be more activity in the cosmos. On September 10, there will be no fewer than three planetary shifts in a single day: Venus moves into Scorpio, Mercury into Libra, and Uranus goes retrograde. A day later, there will be a new moon in Virgo. We’ll tell you more about this in the next update.

It’s good to keep in mind that in the weeks before and after the fall equinox, we often experience increased geomagnetic activity and storms. Equinoxes, like eclipses, bring changes. The impact of eclipses is stronger, however. An equinox is more of a seasonal gateway, heralding spring and fall.

The autumn equinox falls close to the eclipses this year, making September "pivotal"—a transition period between the first half of 2026 and the second half.

Lunar phase: waning moon.

September 1: Mars in Cancer square Saturn in Aries

On September 1, Mars in Cancer forms a square with Saturn in Aries. This aspect creates a palpable tension between the desire to move forward and the feeling of being held back. Mars wants to move forward, take action, and set something in motion, while Saturn calls for patience, responsibility, and an awareness of limits.

Mars in Cancer acts on instinct. You want to protect what is important to you and seek emotional security. Saturn in Aries calls on you to move forward under your own steam, take responsibility, and stand up for yourself. This can create an inner conflict between following your instincts and yet daring to take that step.

At first, that can feel frustrating or overwhelming—as if things aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like. But it is precisely in that delay that valuable clarity can emerge. It can reveal where you’re trying too hard to push forward, where old patterns are holding you back, or where a different approach is needed.

This square invites you not to fight harder, but to be more mindful of how you use your energy. Sometimes true strength doesn’t lie in pushing forward, but in pausing briefly to sense what is truly needed. You don’t have to give up your gentleness to be strong. It is precisely by acknowledging both sides that you can lay a firmer foundation for the movement that may then emerge.

September 3: The Pleiades near the moon

On the night of Thursday, September 3, the moon will be near the Pleiades. This star cluster in the constellation Taurus is also known as the Seven Sisters. It consists of hundreds of stars, of which mainly a small, bright group is clearly visible to the naked eye.

Spiritually, the Pleiades are often associated with inner remembrance, awareness, intuition, and a sense of coming home. This energy can help you remember who you truly are and reconnect with your own radiant light.

The moon symbolizes your emotions, intuition, and the deeper layers of your subconscious. When the Pleiades and the moon are close together, it can feel like a moment of deep inner attunement. Your emotional world and intuition grow closer, making it easier to sense what lies deep within you.

This gathering invites you to pause for a moment. To turn inward and listen to what you already know deep within yourself. Perhaps memories, feelings, or insights will surface. They can help you recognize something within yourself in a new light.

The best time to see the Pleiades is around September 9–12, when the sky is darker because of the new moon. They are particularly visible during the second half of the night and toward morning.

A special detail: On September 30, the moon will pass by the Pleiades once again. Unfortunately, this is difficult to see from the Netherlands. The Pleiades will be low in the sky at that time, and the twilight will make them harder to see clearly.

September 6: Conjunction of Mars and the Moon in Cancer

Today, the Moon and Mars align in Cancer. The feminine Moon represents emotion, intuition, gentleness, and the need for security. The masculine Mars represents decisiveness, desire, boundaries, and the power to set things in motion.

In Cancer, these two energies connect on a deep emotional level. What you feel may surface more intensely. Old emotions or memories may resurface. Perhaps it becomes clearer where you have a need for protection, security, or a safe boundary.

This conjunction invites you to connect your feelings and your decisiveness. The feminine energy can feel and receive. The masculine energy can protect and take action. Together, they can create a balance between softness and strength. You don’t need to push your feelings away. You can listen to what they’re telling you and, from there, act consciously.

At the same time, the Moon is in a challenging aspect with Saturn. This can create a noticeable gap between what your heart desires and what is possible right now. Mars wants to move forward, while Saturn urges you to slow down and take responsibility. That can sometimes feel burdensome or frustrating, but it also helps you avoid acting on your first impulse.

The Moon-Mars conjunction, therefore, does not represent a standalone moment, but is part of a broader movement at the beginning of September. The waning Moon reinforces the theme of processing and letting go. What comes to the surface now does not need to be resolved immediately. It may first need to be felt and understood.

September 6 can therefore be a small emotional turning point. A moment when you begin to sense more clearly what you need, where your limits lie, and where you can take action out of love for yourself.

"What do you feel deep within yourself now that the energetic (eclipse) storm has subsided? What comes to the surface as things quiet down? What truly feels complete, and what still needs attention? Which old pain wants to be felt more deeply? What is your body telling you? And which new, blank chapter is ready to be written?"

August 31 – September 6

Energy This Week

After all the intensity of the past few months, September seems to have become significantly calmer from an astrological perspective. Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron are still in retrograde. And on September 10, Uranus will also go retrograde. Other highlights include: Lilith in Capricorn (September 14), Chiron briefly returning to Aries (September 18), the fall equinox (September 23), and Mars in Leo (September 28).

September begins with the Sun in Virgo (focus on organization, tidying up, daily structure, practical decisions, the body, health, and detoxification). The return of fall allows you to feel the importance of calm, regularity, and purity—as a way to prepare for fall.

This week is quiet—a time to relax. A lot may have come up, and you may still be very tired. The last eclipse window was rarely so intense.

Next week will bring more activity in the cosmos. On September 10, there will be no fewer than three planetary shifts in a single day: Venus enters Scorpio, Mercury enters Libra, and Uranus goes retrograde. One day later, there will be a new moon in Virgo. We’ll cover this in more detail in our next update.

It’s important to note that we often experience increased geomagnetic activity and storms in the weeks before and after the fall equinox. Like eclipses, equinoxes bring about changes. However, the effects of eclipses are more intense. An equinox is more of a seasonal portal that heralds the arrival of spring and fall.

The fall equinox falls close to the eclipses this year, making September a "pivotal point," a transitional period between the first half of 2026 and the second half.

Lunar phase: waning moon.

September 1: Mars in Cancer square Saturn in Aries

On September 1, Mars in Cancer forms a square with Saturn in Aries. This aspect creates a palpable tension between the desire to move forward and the simultaneous feeling of being held back. Mars wants to move forward, take action, and set things in motion, while Saturn calls for patience, responsibility, and an awareness of limits.

Mars in Cancer acts on instinct. You want to protect what’s important to you and are seeking emotional security. Saturn in Aries, on the other hand, demands that you move forward under your own steam, take responsibility, and stand up for yourself. This can create an inner conflict between following your instincts and still daring to take that step.

This can feel frustrating or difficult at first—as if things aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like. But it’s precisely in this delay that valuable clarity can emerge. It can reveal where you’re pushing too hard, where old patterns are holding you back, or where a different approach is needed.

This square invites you not to fight harder, but to use your energy more mindfully. Sometimes true strength lies not in pushing forward, but in pausing briefly and tuning into what is truly needed. You don’t have to let go of your gentleness to be strong. It is precisely by acknowledging both sides that you can lay a firmer foundation for the movement that may follow.

September 3: The Pleiades near the Moon

On the night of Thursday, September 3, the Moon will be near the Pleiades. This star cluster in the constellation Taurus is also known as the Seven Stars or the Seven Sisters. It consists of hundreds of stars, of which a small group in particular is clearly visible to the naked eye.

Spiritually, the Pleiades are often associated with inner remembrance, consciousness, intuition, and a sense of coming home. This energy can help you remember who you truly are and reconnect with your own radiant light.

The Moon represents your emotions, intuition, and the deeper layers of your subconscious. When the Pleiades and the Moon are close together, it can feel like a moment of deep inner alignment. Your emotions and intuition draw closer together, making it easier for you to sense what lies deep within you.

This gathering invites you to pause for a moment. To turn inward and listen to what you already know deep within yourself. Perhaps memories, feelings, or insights will surface. They can help you gain a new understanding of something within yourself.

The best time to see the Pleiades is around September 9 through 12, when the sky is darker due to the new moon. They are particularly visible starting in the second half of the night and as morning approaches.

A special detail: On September 30, the Moon will once again glide past the Pleiades. Unfortunately, this will be difficult to see from the Netherlands. At that time, the Pleiades will be low in the sky, and twilight will make them less visible.

September 6: Conjunction of Mars and the Moon in Cancer

Today, the Moon and Mars align in Cancer. The feminine Moon symbolizes emotion, intuition, gentleness, and the need for security. The masculine Mars represents drive, desire, boundaries, and the power to take action.

In Cancer, these two energies come together on a deep emotional level. What you’re feeling may come to the surface more strongly. Old emotions or memories may resurface. It may become clearer where you have a need for protection, a sense of security, or a safe boundary.

This conjunction invites you to combine emotion and drive. The feminine energy is allowed to feel and receive. The masculine energy is allowed to protect and take action. Together, they can create a balance between gentleness and strength. You don’t have to suppress your feelings. You can listen to what they’re telling you and act consciously from that place.

At the same time, the Moon is in a challenging aspect to Saturn. This can create a noticeable discrepancy between what your heart desires and what is possible at this moment. Mars wants to move forward, while Saturn calls for slowing down and taking responsibility. This can sometimes feel difficult or frustrating, but it also helps you avoid reacting on impulse.

This Moon-Mars conjunction is therefore not an isolated event, but rather part of a broader pattern at the beginning of September. The waning Moon amplifies the theme of processing and letting go. What is now coming to the surface does not have to be resolved immediately. It must first be felt and understood.

September 6 can therefore be a small emotional turning point. A moment when you begin to sense more clearly what you need, where your boundaries lie, and where you can take action out of love for yourself.

"What do you feel deep inside, now that the energetic (eclipse) storm has subsided? What is coming to the surface now that things are growing quieter? What truly feels resolved, and what still demands your attention? What old pain wants to be felt more deeply? What is your body telling you? And what new, blank chapter is ready to be written?"

September begins with the Sun in Virgo (emphasis on organizing, tidying up, daily structure, practical choices, the body, health, and detox). The letter “r” is back in the month’s name, reminding you of the importance of rest, routine, and cleanliness—as you prepare for fall.

This week is quiet—a chance to recharge. A lot may have come to the surface, and you may still be feeling very tired. The last eclipse window was one of the most intense we’ve ever seen.

September 6: Conjunction of Mars and the Moon in Cancer

Today, the Moon and Mars converge in Cancer. The feminine Moon symbolizes emotion, intuition, gentleness, and the need for security. The masculine Mars represents decisiveness, desire, boundaries, and the power to take action.

In Cancer, these two energies come together on a deep emotional level. What you’re feeling may come to the surface more strongly. Old emotions or memories may resurface. It may become clearer where you need protection, security, or a safe boundary.
