Energy This Week
In recent weeks, Aries energy has dominated. It is now fading, and we are gradually moving toward the grounding, calming energy of Taurus. But that doesn’t mean things are already calmer. It still feels unsettled. This week, the full moon in Scorpio brings some extra intensity, purification, and depth. We are also moving toward a Gemini stellium, with Venus and Uranus already in Gemini, as Mercury enters Gemini on May 17. And this is the last week without retrogrades: on May 6, Pluto goes retrograde.
This week, the cosmic fireworks of the sun are still reverberating. Last week, the sun suddenly erupted again. Powerful solar flares followed one after another. This electric charge, which had been creating a somewhat oppressive atmosphere, had already been in the air for some time. That can lead to both breakdown and breakthrough. Sometimes something must first literally crack open before it can improve. As Leonard Cohen beautifully put it: "The crack is where the light comes in."
Physically and mentally, this can be challenging. Your body has a lot of energy to process. This can lead to a variety of symptoms: fatigue, headaches, heart palpitations, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, shifting bone and joint pain, cough and flu-like symptoms, sinus pain, jaw tension, and sensitive teeth. These symptoms are temporary. If they persist or worsen, always contact your doctor.
In addition, Uranus definitively entered Gemini at the end of last week. This marks the final arrival following the planetary shifts of the "slow-moving planets"—Pluto, Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn. Jupiter, however, moves considerably faster than the rest.
Uranus has spent the past seven years in Taurus, where it was out of its element. Uranus seeks progress, change, and revolutionary renewal, while Taurus seeks the opposite. You may have felt this as a sense of frustration and stagnation: desperately wanting to move forward, but just not getting there.
Now that Uranus is in Gemini, this pent-up, restrained energy can be released. When these two "rebellious daredevils" come together, anything can happen. From one moment to the next, everything can change. Many karmic cycles are coming to an end right now, either abruptly or after a long build-up. That can be painful, confusing, and liberating all at once.
Relationships, friendships, and business connections that have run their course or no longer serve your highest good have already faded away last year or will fade away this year. We are collectively entering a new phase of consciousness, in which true soul connections (for your own growth and the greater whole) are becoming increasingly important. New people may also come into your life, with whom you immediately feel a deep, effortless (loving) connection and/or with whom you are meant to create something. Do not go searching for these soulmates; they will naturally come into your path when your frequency and the time are ready for it.
Lunar phases: waxing moon (until April 30), full moon (May 1), and waning moon (from May 2).
May 1: Full Moon in Scorpio
May has two full moons. We start May with a full moon in Scorpio and end the month with a full (blue) moon in Sagittarius. Everything that comes to the surface now—Scorpio searches and digs until it finds what it’s looking for—can take on a new direction or destination by the end of the month with Sagittarius.
Scorpio draws you toward your innermost depths. Beyond quick, superficial answers, toward your deepest truth and wisdom. This inward pull grows stronger, because the energy of Uranus in Gemini coincides with a full moon in Scorpio.
There is a palpable tension in the air, but not one you need to avoid. Rather, it is a tension that awakens you. Scorpio carries an intensity that can sometimes feel intense, but above all, it works in a healing way when you dare to embrace it. It is the energy of transformation—of letting go of what you have outgrown and returning to your true self. Old patterns, beliefs, and attachments may surface, not to overwhelm you, but to set you free.
At the same time, something new is stirring within you. Uranus in Gemini opens the mind, brings movement to entrenched thoughts, and can send insights flashing in like lightning. What was previously only a vague feeling now finds words. What was deeply hidden can suddenly become clear and understandable.
It is as though you descend into a quiet, inner depth. And right there, the light comes on.
Scorpio asks you to feel without looking away. To stay present with what is intense, because that is precisely where your strength lies. Where other energies might skirt around the pain, Scorpio dives straight into it, with the quiet certainty that the key to transformation lies there. And precisely at that moment, Uranus brings air and movement: a new perspective, a liberating insight, an unexpected turn.
This combination creates a special alchemy. Emotional depth and mental clarity begin to work together. What once felt heavy can transform into insight. What was stuck can begin to flow again. Perhaps you notice that conversations become more honest, that you hear yourself speaking in a way you hadn’t planned, or that a sudden inner knowing arises that you can no longer ignore.
Trust and dare to delve into the depths, without losing yourself in the intensity. And remain open to the unexpected insights of Uranus, however sudden or unsettling they may sometimes feel.
Perhaps you feel the urge to withdraw, to reflect, to be honest about what you truly desire and what no longer serves you. Trust that this is not a loss, but a shift toward greater authenticity. Everything that is ready to be released will reveal itself. And everything that remains holds truth within it.
Not everything has to happen gradually. Sometimes a single insight, a single moment of honesty, is enough to transform your entire inner world. And it is precisely there—at that tipping point between feeling and understanding, between letting go and seeing through—that the power of this moment lies. A gentle yet unmistakable movement toward who you truly are.
May 3: Mercury in Taurus
After all the intensity, Mercury in Taurus brings a sense of grounding and calm. Everything that has been set in motion may slow down and settle.
Mercury is about thinking, communicating, and understanding. In Taurus, that rhythm shifts. Thoughts become less fleeting, words carry more weight, and what first arrived as a sudden insight now seeks to take root in something tangible. This is not an energy of rapid breakthroughs, but of lasting integration.
It’s as if, after an inner storm, you’re standing with both feet firmly on the ground again.
While Scorpio allowed you to sense what is truly happening, and Uranus perhaps gave you a sudden sense of clarity, Mercury in Taurus helps you give shape to those insights. What will you do with what you’ve discovered? What do you want to hold onto? And what might genuinely change in your daily life?
This energy works for you when you:
- Take the time to write down your insights or speak them aloud
- consciously choose simplicity and peace of mind
- Incorporate physical activity into your routine (walking, spending time in nature, slowing down)
- Don't rush into decisions; let them mature
Taurus possesses a natural wisdom: what is truly valuable doesn't need to be rushed. And what stands the test of time is built step by step.
Perhaps you find yourself craving stillness, clarity, and authenticity in communication. Your words may be fewer, but more sincere. Your thoughts may be quieter, but more deeply rooted.
This is the moment when you can ask yourself: what is truly valuable to me, now that I have taken an honest look at what is going on?
Let the energy of Mercury in Taurus help you not only to understand, but also to put it into practice. Don’t let your insights fade away; instead, make them a part of how you live, speak, and make choices.
After the depth and the breakthroughs, stillness now sets in. And in that stillness, something powerful is born: a clarity that endures.
"What lies deep within you and longs to be (re)born in stillness?"

You may notice that conversations become more honest, that you hear yourself speaking in ways you hadn’t planned, or that an inner knowing suddenly arises that you can no longer ignore.
Trust and dare to sink into the depths without losing yourself in the intensity. And remain open to the unexpected insights of Uranus, no matter how sudden or unsettling they may sometimes feel.

May 3: Mercury in Taurus
After all that intensity, Mercury in Taurus brings grounding and calm. Everything that has been set in motion is now allowed to slow down and settle.
Mercury is about thinking, communicating, and understanding. In Taurus, this pace changes. Thoughts become less fleeting, words take on more weight, and what initially came across as a sudden insight now seeks to take root in something tangible. This is not an energy of quick breakthroughs, but of lasting integration.
It’s as if, after an inner storm, you’re back on solid ground.
While Scorpio helped you sense what’s really going on, and Uranus may have given you sudden clarity, Mercury in Taurus helps you give it shape. What will you do with what you’ve discovered? What do you want to keep? And what really needs to change in your daily life?
This energy works for you when you:
- the time you take to write down or express your insights
- consciously choose simplicity and peace of mind
- incorporate your body into your routine (going for walks, spending time in nature, slowing down)
- Don't rush into decisions; let them mature instead
Taurus has a natural wisdom: what is truly valuable doesn't need to be rushed. And what is solid is built step by step.
You may find yourself feeling a need for silence, for clarity, and for authenticity in communication. Words may be fewer, but more sincere. Thoughts may be calmer, but more deeply rooted.
This is the moment when you can ask yourself: What is truly valuable to me, now that I’ve honestly taken a look at what’s going on?
May the energy of Mercury in Taurus help you not only to understand, but also to embody it. Don’t let your insights slip away; instead, give them a place in the way you live, speak, and make choices.
After the depth and the breakthroughs comes silence. And in this silence, something powerful emerges: a clarity that endures.
